Flinders Flavours is a new book being written, edited and compiled by a group of writers and creatives of the Flinders Ranges region. The stories document the important foods and recipes of the region and the stories behind their evolution… from bush tucker and local foods right through to innovative cooking and growing techniques for the arid region.

The writers are using this web site as an online collaboration tool and the final material is to be compiled into a book, that will be released as a first edition in 2010.

The book will be available through tourist and book outlets in the Flinders Ranges and orderable through this web site.

We are inviting contributions from local writers, families, restauranteurs, social historians and food buffs… who have stories and recipes that convey the wonderful flavours of the Flinders Ranges.
